Bio:
Arthur Bishop is a Senior Lecturer in Management Accounting at Stellenbosch University (South Africa), where he has been lecturing since January 2011. He began his professional career in 2006 in the auditing practice at Baker Tilly Greenwoods. Since 2015, he has served as the module coordinator for third-year Management Accounting students in the Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) pathway at Stellenbosch University and has also acted as an external moderator and examiner for Management Accounting at several other South African universities. Arthur is currently pursuing a dual PhD between Stellenbosch University and the University of Groningen, under the supervision of Prof Lucia Bellora-Bienengraeber (University Duisburg-Essen), Prof Paula Dirks (University of Groningen) and Prof Gretha Steenkamp (Stellenbosch University), focusing on management control systems for diversity, equity, and inclusion. His research interests lie broadly in the field of management accounting and control. He served as a co-editor for the first South African edition of Management and Cost Accounting in South Africa by Colin Drury and has published four peer-reviewed articles in the management accounting domain.
