FAQ: missed deadline
I missed the deadline for registering for a course that requires enrollment, for the thesis, or for the inspection of an exam. Can I still enroll?
No, we do not accept enrollments coming in after the deadline, neither via the website nor via email. Due to capacity constraints, related emails will not be answered. This applies to all reasons for delay and also in the event that there would still be free slots. Please regularly inspect our website to be informed about future enrollment deadlines.

Do you accept enrollments for courses, thesis supervision, or inspection of an exam via email?
No, we do only accept enrollments thought the designated forms on the website. Due to capacity constraints, related emails will not be answered. Should you encounter any concrete issues with the forms, please send the contact person of the respective course an email with a screenshot and a clear description of the issue that you are experiencing.

Which criteria do I need to fulfil to participate in a certain course or to write a thesis?
Before enrolling for a course or for the thesis supervision, you have to independently inform yourself about the criteria that you need to fulfil in order to be admittable to the course or to the thesis. The criteria include criteria set by your Program’s regulations as well as the Chair’s regulation.
We check the criteria that you need to fulfil from our Chair’s perspective. It is solely your responsibility, not the Chair’s responsibility, to ensure that you also fulfil the criteria set by your Program’s regulations. Failure to check this can result in your grade not being registered and you needing to repeat the course.

I have a question regarding a course. How and to whom should I ask this question?
Questions regarding the content and formalities of the course have to be directed to the forum of the respective Moodle course. Due to capacity constraints, emails with such questions will not be answered. For questions related to personal circumstances that cannot be shared via Moodle, please reach out to the contact person of each course. Please identify the contact person for each course via the Chair’s website.

I have a question to the Chair. How should I best approach the Chair and how quickly will I get a reply?
First, please check whether you can answer your question by reviewing the Chair’s website. Second, ask your question in Moodle and wait for a reply there. In Moodle, we hope for students answering students’ questions and thus supporting each other, but we strive to provide answers, if no answers are provided by students, after about (!) one working week. Third, if you have a personal question that cannot be answered via Moodle, please send to the Chair an email by identifying the correct contact person via the Chair’s website. We stive to provide you with an answer withing about (!) one working week. Please be mindful that this may take longer, for example during vacation periods or due to work-related absence from the office. Please plan your requests accordingly.
